I was a little apprehensive that this Boifun portable monitor would deliver what I needed. There were 15.8" model that were cheaper by $30. The happiest moment what when I successfully was able to operate my Samsung Galaxy S10+ smartphone on this monitor. I needed this feature for viewing my field pictures so that I could get the most prefect pictures for telling the problems or highlights that my field inspection duties require. The pictures on this monitor were stunning and vey impressive for my much needed presentation. Samsung users please select DEX from the pull down menu after notification to link phone to monitor. I had trouble connecting but after a few tries it connected. Dell computer owners, please be warned that the HDMI for this monitor will not plug into their computer. So SOL on connecting to them. My grandkids will be having a grand time using this monitor in the car because I can power it out of the car usb port while they play their favorite games. They will have a ball with the beautiful screen and save on their eyes. Well they can also watch all their favorite movies from PLUTO app. Only disappointment is the screen is not touch control but I can see a next generation of that soon. This sleek monitor is a lit pricey but worth every penny you pay because its colors are brilliant and radiant. All in all I am very thrilled and delighted that I can use this monitor daily on my field trips away from my office. I will have confidence my pictures will be previewed for details before sent out. Make sure you have backup portable battery for I accidentally drained my smartphone battery after an hour of portable mode use!I purchased 2 of these Boifun monitors. They work great and are worth the money, but the instructions are not as clear as they can be. I had a hard time getting the monitors hooked up to my laptop but after some investigation at Best Buy, it turned out to be quite easy. If you have a laptop with an old USB type "C" port (NOT thunderbolt), this monitor won't work on that type "C" port. But the solution is simple. Get yourself a "USB 3.0 to dual HDMI Multi-Monitor Adapter" from 'j5create". This adapter turns 1 regular USB port (type A or B, which all laptops have) into 2 HDMI ports. Then connect each Boifun to each of the HDMI ports (and connect each Boifun to power using the power cable provided) and they'll work great for video and sound. I could not get this information from Boifun itself, but got it from the local Best Buy.Really awesome monitor for the price. Even comes with a mini HDMI to HDMI converter cable as well as a number of other cables for convenience. The angle of this monitor is far more adjustable than other monitors I’ve tried at this price point.As you can see, I took the pictures on the deck connected to multiple devices.I am a consultant and need to use equipment, anytime, anyplace and anywhere. This led me to look for a very good portable monitor. I found it with the boifun portable monitor. The specs are great and one of my key metrics is, how easy is it? Just plug it in and go. Its that easy and it has great color and resolution. My pics do not to the monitor justice. I included them to show that I just plugged in a pc laptop, macbook air and an iPad tablet and was immediately working.I often use a tablet to do a presentation either one on one or a small group. Using the boifun portable monitor made it possible to use the presentation mode and have the notes on MY screen. I can’t say enough good things.Did not have high expectations for a screen this cheap, but was pleasantly surprised by this item.First of all, it came with all the cables you would need to start using it (Power brick, power cable, mini HDMI to HDMI, and USB-C to USB-C). So it should come ready to use for any modern system.The picture quality was actually also surprisingly good for this price point. It even had an option for HDR (Although I can't really test out how well that functions).Overall it has a great build quality as well. feels very solid and is all packed in a thin form factor.I have pictures that compare the max brightness of the screen to the max brightness of my $1200 macbook as well as a picture that shows how thin the screen is compared to that same macbook.TL:DR Great portable monitor with good picture quality at an extremely affordable price.I was looking for a portable type C monitor to use during traveling and as a secondary companion display for my desktop setup.The 1080p panel is very clear and I have no issue reading text off it. The dual speakers doesn't produce the most immersive sound, but will suit most basic audio applications. Had no trouble using my Motorola Android phone in desktop mode with the monitor.The roller key is very user friendly for adjusting the device settings. HDR is not on by default. The included accessories are enough to start using the device right out of the box, but additional angle adapters will help out a lot with cable management.I'm pretty happy with my purchase.I received the product in perfect condition. It feels like a premium product, and I was really surprised about the stereo speakers that come with the portable monitor. First I like that you can power the monitor with a portable battery. As long as you have a 2.4A to power the monitor. Another thing that I loved about this portable monitor is the fact that it is so light perfect companion for the Nintendo switch. If I needed more real estate on my laptop, I can easily connect it to my laptop and power it with another usb c cable that is compatible with powering the portable monitor. Lastly i like that it has HDMI and headphone jack so I can use my hifi headphone and use it on the go.I am a CS student as well as a gamer. Most of the time I’m either doing assignments with programs and such. Most of the time I am on the go and need to multitask on my laptop and this helps me manage all the programs on my desktop. The other use for this is to manage a discord server as I game. This is so convenient since I don’t need something large to read all the messages that come through. I highly recommend this everyone that does programming on the go as well as anyone that requires to multitask on a computer on the go.
