Went to stores like Target and Walmart, they don't carry these items. So I went on good ol' Amazon. Found what my 8 yr old daughter was looking for. Best of all it was Prime eligible because my daughter hates waiting (just like daddy). Got here in two days, as promised. She opened the box before I got home, I am sure her face was like opening a gift on Christmas day. She loved it, great size for her books and binders for the upcoming school year. Pockets and zippers all work great. She loved the design, its probably her most favorite backpack she has owned. I guess she wants to be stylish. Overall, satisfied Amazon Prime customer here.Wish the bag was a little wider. My laptop can’t fit inside. Will use it for carrying other things though.My daughter picked it out and loves it.The strap can be a bit uncomfortable if you have to carry a good amount of items, but for 2nd grade(an agenda, folder and the occasional text book) its perfect and it also doubles nicely as an over night bag. The pockets on the sides holds her snacks (they are quite large for side pockets, that's a good thing) all in all she's happy and so am IP.S. the material reminds me almost of a soft denimWe've used this messenger bag daily for about a month (for elementary school). It's lightweight and seems pretty sturdy, but isn't padded. The cover flap fastens with velcro. It lifts up to reveal a large zippered pocket, plus the zippered main compartment. Additionally, there are two side pockets with velcro.So very cute! Lots of room to pack lots of playthings to keep grand daughter busy on a long road trip. We are off to Disneyland .... Shhh, she doesn't know where we are going!No good quality, I don't recommend to anyone except to my worst enemy. No children will like it, bad choice.Sturdy bag
