SYB EMF Radiation Protection Laptop Pad - 14" Heat Blocker & Anti-Radiation Shield for Notebooks (Ultra Marine) - Perfect for Office, Home & Travel Use

This is my 3rd laptop pad in under a year and I think I finally found "the one"! So far no issues at all with the pad. Quality is superb and has held up far better and longer than the first two brands I tried. The grippy texture works even when I have my laptop at a slant. As for the EMF protection, I don't have a meter myself but I'm fairly sure it works since I get much less pain in my knees and hips when I use this vs when I was using the first ones. I seem to be particularly sensitive to EMF waves at the join areas. Really effective, thanks.It is sturdy, stern, and very protective. It will help me a lot to avoid the pain I experience in past for be unaware of dangers of radiation.I bought one around 5 years ago and a few months ago the covering began to peel and create ripples that cause my laptop to overheat more quickly from lack of airflow. For how much I spent on this and how good I take care of my belongings I’m a bit disappointed that I already have to replace something I think should last longer. It would be nice if they stood by their products and offered a lengthy warranty against something like this.I thought this would be cumbersome and pointless and a instantly regretted impulse buy, however, the moment I started using this (which was 1 minute ago) I was in love. Instinctually, I can tell in 1 second this is beneficial. The pad is oddly comfortable and cooling; the construction is substantial without being overbearing. I am extremely surprised how much I enjoy this... and delighted I will be able to implement this daily without frustration or conscious effort as if it were a chore. SUCK IT, EMF!This feels really cheap. I also have the DefenderShield EMF pad (that has a slightly better reduction rating), but wanted this for something that's light-weight and better for travel. However the sleeve it's in feels a little too big for whatever is inside, kind of like it's just a ziplock bag enclosing the pad. Furthermore the surface is slick so the laptop slides. Overall being not much cheaper than the DefenderShield pad, it's only slightly smaller / lighter weight so I don't think it's worth it.This EMF protection shield is awesome! I use my laptop and electronic notebook constantly. It's so nice to know that almost all radiation and heat are blocked and reflected away from me instead of going directly through my body. I will definitely be buying more SYB products! The customer service is great too!I like it fine , just need to have someone test it for me.Use it for my laptop. Good Customer Support.I tested the effectiveness of this product when used under 3 devices: my i-pad, a laptop with a magnetic hard drive and finally a laptop with a solid state drive. Measurements of the EMF were taken with a Trifield 100XE meter with items being measured whilst being used in battery mode. I measured the EMF at 0” (device on lap) and 4” (device on wooden desk) with and without the EMF shielding pad.I saw reductions in the EMF of up to 90% which ties in with the maker’s claims:Ipad on lap – without shield 3mG – with shield negligibleLaptop (magnetic hard drive) on lap – without shield 100mG (!) – with shield 10mGLaptop (solid state drive) on lap – without shield 10mG – with shield 5mGLaptop (magnetic hard drive) on desk – without shield 15mG – with shield 2mGLaptop (solid state drive) on desk – without shield 1.5mG – with shield negligibleIt all depends on your definition of "safe" but for me I would only use my i-pad with a shield on my lap, would not use a laptop on my lap under any circumstances and will always use the shield on my desk. Also when I get a new laptop it will be a solid state as I am assuming from these measurements that because it uses a lot less power it emits less radiation. I have tried very hard to be logical and stick to the facts. Just remember not to sit hunched over your device as this will not shield you from upward emissions – sit as far back as possible as emissions drop off withdistance, use laptop when possible in battery mode, use a wired in mouse when possible and switch your WIFI off at night. This is the second Item I have received from Syb in the past week which has arrived faulty and is obviously a product of Syb's defective manufacturing and it will be returned. This laptop shield arrived with a dent in the top and a huge air bubble in it preventing my laptop sitting flat. I am a long time customer of this company, but it seems their products are no longer good, and I am now tired of having to drive miles to return their faulty items which are not cheap. For £100 for a laptop shield, this company can deliver better to their customers. I was about to purchase their air headphones too but now won't bother as I'm very disenchanted with the poor quality of their manufacturing and large prices. Very disappointing and a complete waste of time!Good for added peace of mind. Looks very flashy and my laptop doesn’t slip. I use it on my lap with a puff tray underneath. Just the right size for my Apple Air Laptop.Fast prompt delivery and I love the design and feel.I am very satisfied with this product
